■ ハート・イン・モーション／八木澤教司作曲陸上自衛隊第１音楽隊の創立60周年記念委嘱作品。陸上自衛隊第１師団長である反怖謙一陸将が信念として掲げている「根を養えば樹は自ら育つ」（目に見える幹・枝・葉・実・花を支えているのが根であり、人間も同じ目に見えない心構え・気概・心意気・熱意・情熱をしっかり備えなければ何事もなし得ない）から作曲者の八木澤教司はインスピレーションを受け、明るく華やかなファンファーレと温かいコラールから成る躍動的な音楽を創り上げた。初演時は《ハート・オブ・シンセリティ》として公表されたが、出版社の意向でより世界中に親しまれるタイトルとして《ハート・イン・モーション》が提案され委嘱団体の快諾のもとで改名された。尚、この新しいタイトルは第１音楽隊長である伊東札記１等陸尉の言葉から発想を得て名付けられている。世界初演は2014年3月に同音楽隊によって行われた。

Heart in Motion was commisioned by the wind band of the Japan Ground Self-Defence Force on their 60th anniversary. The brief for the commission stipulated that the development of the ensemble be depicted in music as a tree which―with careful nurturing―grows branches twigs, leaves and fruit. Apart from these visible characteristics, the development of a successful musical community has also called on a positive attitude, enthusiasm and passion. Inspired by these images and concepts, Satoshi Yagisawa has composed a magnificent fanfare followed by a warm-sounding chorale. The work, commissioned under the title Heart of Sincerity, was renamed Heart in Motion shortly before the premiere―which was played by the above-named band in March 2014. The title perfectly reflects the message carried within the music.
